So, I currently put my bottom (weighted) board sustain pedal on the right and top board (NE2) pedal on the left. I can do it with my left, but for some reason it fatigues fast (I think having more to do with how I sit than weak muscles). The other problem I have is that when I'm playing a more serious piano part (two handed), I pretty much need to use my right foot. So I have a heck of a time when my hands are crossed (left playing piano & right on organ - admittedly I do the opposite more often.) One problem I have is that I can use either foot for sustain, as long as the foot is on the same side as the hand - that is, pedaling left foot for what I'm playing on my left hand.

I put that in the middle with a sustain pedal on each side, one for each of my two keyboards.

Playing a clonewheel, I need an expression pedal. Adding just that can really boost the authenticity of the sound. Rather hard to play Rock/Gospel organ without an expression pedal. I got the church to spring for the Roland pedal, because there are times when I have to use only the Roland, and I'll need the Organ sounds in it. The Hammond then acts as a controller for my rack-mount modules as well, and the Hammond expression pedal controls the modules. I'll continue to play during this time, but the volume level needs to really come down, and be ready to come back up at a moment's notice if he decides to have us go through another chorus.ĭuring a regular gig, leave out the Roland and everything attached to it. The expression pedals connected to the Roland and Yamaha are primarily for when our Pastor leads the prayer at the end of the music right before the message. Yamaha FC-7 expression pedal & M-Audio SP-2 sustain pedal connected to the Yamaha. Hammond EXP 100F expression pedal connected to the Hammond Speed switch connected to the Motion Sound Pro3TM

M-Audio SP-2 sustain pedal & Roland EV-5 expression pedal connected to the Roland The Roland is to the left hand, and the Hammond is upper tier, Yamaha lower tier. Right now I'm runnung a 3 board set up at church, using my Yamaha and Hammond and the church's Roland.
